Remember that what you read here is an accumulation of problems reported on 250,000 Mavericks, not on any one Maverick

Only 3500 miles in, but I am enjoying my XL Ecoboost & have had zero problems.

The AWD will be the same across trims mechanically. Some versions will add nifty modes or suspension changes. The tow package adds some gearing changes. Other options add towing wiring.

Otherwise the lariat xlt and xl will have the same shafts and stuff. So finding what you can live without and going with the XL can save you a bit of cash.

Also mines going great in the 200ish miles ive added since I got it. Not exactly a statistical sample but to add to the "people who are going fine dont say much about it" meme

I'd like to take this moment to announce my rear passenger strut is working fine.

Also, the entire truck is fine.

Don, I don't have an XL, so can't speak on that particular model. I've an Ecoboost AWD Lariat. Alot of the parts are the same though, just a few more add on's on the Lariat.

I had the same questions as you are having after I joined this forum. I'd already ordered my truck and what I read made me second guess my desicion.

I'm happy I stuck it out. I like my truck alot, and so far the build quality has been similiar to other brands I've had and was happy with.

I'd still recommend to go with your gut, though, whatever that is telling you. :)
I have a 2023 Maverick Lariat Eco Boost and love the vehicle. I have had only 1 recall (turn signal reprogram). Don’t have the 4k Tow package but everything else is working just define. No issues at all on this truck. I had 2 Ford Escapes so the Ecop Boost was a no brainer for me.

I have been on this website for about a month haven't heard much about the eco boost XL Maverick I have ordered one but reading all the problems with the Mavericks don't know if I want one now. Any thoughts
I have a 2022 XL EB; no tow package. I love my little truck. I am getting 27mpg in the city. The last road trip I took I was at 34mpg. The power in that little truck is phenomenal. The speed takes some getting used to, but now I love those short on-ramps to the freeway. I am at 70mph in a heartbeat. I've hauled some concrete (500lbs) and had no issue.
