Ford needs to re think the FX4 and should read your post.
A little pricing adjustment is called for across all the trims.
But if they did do that the Tremor will cost a bunch more.

Your Ranger is a "2nd Generation" ....this is a "1st Generation" or OG Ranger...

And you can go back to the F100, blahblahblah I know. I consider all 80s/90s/2000s/2011 Rangers OG, as honestly...not much really evolved there, haha, especially with the gen 2 vs gen 3.

I like the Tremor as its own branding and not a package on top of the Lariat, but the entire refresh pricing stinks. Ford has no interest in these ever being sub $30k vehicles moving forward. The old pricing tiers is part of what made these make so much sense, but it'll just become more and more expensive anyway with each passing model year/generation.

I want my wireless charging pad...but at least I still have a spair/jack+tools, and the rear center armrest.

I love my '24 Tremor.

Added a wireless charger myself, 8"sub in the back with the default Sync system, and the ride, so nice and soft!

My Mustang has the old 12 speaker Shaker Pro system with an 8" sub, so I'm used to the smaller sub size and couldn't care less about anything larger. The B&O system just hits the personal mark for "fine by me" to where I wouldn't want to mess with changing anything; it's not the greatest, but it's 100% happily staying exactly as-is. Car audio sort of cracks me up...though I'm a musician and have my own "floor of tolerance" and totally get it. Bottom line is that it honestly just needs to sound "fun" for driving though and doesn't need to be an audiophile masterclass of sound engineering.

Unbelieveably close...Maverick is a hair wider and the Ranger a hair taller, but the wheel base is what really gets me...you see how close they are...and the rest is basically just chopping the bed in favor of a larger cab. The Maverick has a longer rear/bumper, but really...hilariously close and I would never have thought so until I had them ligned up. An extended cab OG Ranger has to be noticeably longer with a much wider wheel base than the Maverick.
Yes agreed, I had a ranger extra cab, Mav does have much more room…

The Maverick is oddly one of the few crew cab trucks that I actually am ok with as far as visuals go...the other is the Colorado/Canyon. I usually can't stand the hood and bed being about the same length, with the center/cab being the dominant line of sight. I like having a back seat, but I'd probably have sprung for a regular cab or extended cab if I could.

Not sure if this matters to anyone, but in May of 2023, we went to our local Ford dealer just curious about the Maverick but none were available. They had one Ranger on the lot and we drove it and thought it was ok. 6 months later, we took the Ranger in for it’s first service and while we were waiting, we noticed 2 Mavericks that were customer orders that had been cancelled. After driving the hybrid, I was sold. We came in with a Ranger and went home with a Maverick! It’s a much better fit for us, plus it’s a better fit for the garage, too.

I've said it many times but they should've called the Maverick the Ranger! It would make a lot more sense.

I've had two older Danger Rangers, they're excellent trucks!!
YES!!
Ditto!!

I will say too I really like the look of the current Colorado, but especially the Canyon. If I weren't such a Ford guy, I'd seriously consider picking up a Canyon. Most handsome truck in the segment. Wish Ford would do more in the styling department with the current Ranger.

My 05 Ranger Edge is being totaled due to a deer torpedoing its rear on the highway...yes, that is a true story.

As sad as I am to let it go...it was time. I love small trucks, and something about the Maverick just felt familiar...and shockingly, now I know why. Check the pictures, the OG regular cab Ranger is hilariously similar in dimensions/wheel base to the Maverick. The Ranger is sitting on .31s, the Maverick is a Tremor with 235/65/17s.
