I suspect for fleet use; the primary purchaser of such vehicles, that the rear cab height would be at least a foot taller than the Maverick cab height. A lot of the dimensions are determined by standardized size of pallets and packaging, so a proposed Mav drivetrain minivan would need to accommodate those easily.I wonder if it could look a bit more like this. Maverick in front and Connect in back.![]()
I prefer the original Merkuh Connect, with the tall roof, as a utility delivery and trades vehicle.
It would be pretty easy to put the Mav drivetrain in a similar shaped unibody. The original Connect was actually pretty spacious; I helped a friend make a mini-campervan out of one. The "updated" version that was just a regular minivan, a Windstar replacement, wasn't as accommodating. I rented one of those for a week in Georgia/Florida when the girl graduated from SCAD and we helped her move her junk. It was great to drive, but the usable interior space was lacking compared to the previous version of Connect, which was more of a fleet vehicle and less of a minivan.
