Found this patent for a Ford truck bed kennel. The drawing looks like a Maverick, but with an updated taillight design with full width tailgate trim design.

In other news, I found a Ford patent for a "sleeping platform" that used this mystery SUV to illustrate it. Looks similar to a Bronco, but isn't a Bronco. Is this Ford's new $25k crossover?
My puppies ride inside my vehicle. They wear a harness and are seatbelted in.

Cool idea but thats a very small dog in there. I was thinking if i want to put the dogs in the bed i would get a camper shell. Or they just keep riding in the back seat.

Remember that a patent does not necessarily equate to plans. Companies routinely submit patents for ideas they have no plan to release, but it ensures they get paid for every competing product.
The compartment looks way too short for any medium/large dog to be in comfortably. If they made it tall enough so they could sit-up or stand that'd be better, but the whole thing just seems too cruel to actually use. Just put them in the cab with you or let them sprawl in the truck bed, not locked up in a tiny crate.Found this patent for a Ford truck bed kennel. A guy posted on a thread a week or two ago about how he has a hook-up for his dog's harness in the bed, while using a smart phone/smart camera setup to watch the dog while he's driving. That seems a whole lot better than something like this.
