Maverick tailgate lettering

I can't seem to find where I recently saw this, but in stead of using individual letters in the recessed tailgate letters, someone had a matte black film placed over the letter's area of the tailgate with the letters cutout of the film exposing the letters in body color. Does anyone know where to purchase this pre made? I was also going to ask my tinting company or maybe a local vinyl place if they could do it if I can't find it. Thanks for any assistance!

I just ordered the same for my truck and haven't even installed it yet. Got it from:

Came well packaged and looks like nice, high quality vinyl. Lots of color options as well; I went with silver for my HPR XL Hybrid to match the steel wheels.

That's where I got mine as well. Make sure you use lots of solution to apply, you'll need to make a lot of adjustments as you go, to align everything properly.

That's where I got mine as well. Make sure you use lots of solution to apply, you'll need to make a lot of adjustments as you go, to align everything properly.

That looks sharp. I already ordered my
reflective letters for $39. The reflective is $139 Ouch! Guess I will stick with my letters! Lol

It looks great! Did you cut off the two little "arms" that extend to the edges of the tailgate? I think it looks better the way that you did it.

Yes, good eye! I wanted the body line to match at the T/G gap vs. being blacked out with the vinyl. Subtle yes, but it's what I wanted as well.

Had a warm free day, so I finally installed my tailgate applicay. It's 3M silver metallic and matches the stock wheels really well.

Looks good, the silver is a nice change from the very common black. Goes well with the red.
