I told a lady at work that I am getting a new car. When she asked what i was getting, i told her, and explained what it was and the size of the Maverick.
she said "aren't men supposed to drive Big manly trucks?"
I told her, "well sure, but I don't have to compensate for anything. So the small truck is fine for me". might be in HR next week. lol
Maverick is perfect size. You will see.

A Ford 150 Super Duty owner asked if I was going to haul styrofoam in my Mav hybrid. I told him I'd wave to him as I pass him when he stops for gas twice a week.

I'm 6'6" and when people talk about my Mavericks size I:
1. Crouch down.
2. Make eye contact.

At this point they can tell that I'm about to roast them for whatever lifted over compensating garbage they drive.

I'm in Texas and it's always the 5'5" Mfers that literally fall out of their trucks that talk sh*t. I shrug it off because I've owned all the big trucks before and thats led me here.

Can care less about manly. It gets the job done and me from A to B at half the cost many others paid for a truck they’ll never use for its purpose. I can also keep paying my mortgage, too, lol.

Honestly it’s barely smaller than a Tacoma with more interior space. I put a level kit on mine and it looks great. It’s plenty big, beds a little short but works great for what I need.

so got my mav about 6 weeks ago, my wife got her jeep totaled 8 weeks ago. So the secondary vehicle is now primary. What we have decided: Perfect size. so easy to get in and out of - no climbing or falling into. but as we have integrated the mav into our lives, today was a moment. We had just gone from 4 different stores getting odds and ends, bags of soil, planter, rose bush, and two large bushes. As we kept adding, adjusting the back trifold to accommodate. As we started home, I mentioned that we couldnt have done today with either the jeep or my car, or her yukon (easily). This thing just effortlessly provides what is needed when it is needed. Like the Hogwart's room of requirement.

Probably why it's so popular with women.

From the front, it looks like a tough rugged truck. From the back it looks like an odd little truckette.
That I'll be able to easily park at Home Depot and take mild-off roading to the hunting camp, which is a lot more than what most of those ultra-high lifted trucks will ever see.

My retort would have been, no, a real man does what he wants to and doesn't worry about what some poseurs who will never use their truck to haul more than groceries thinks.

I've had actual contractors ask me about my truck when I get things at Home Depot. They said they don't need the capacity of their big trucks all that often and it might be be worth it to get a Maverick for their daily jobs and have the big supplies delivered.

If you end up in HR, tell them she was asking about the size of your...truck.

tell her you have the extra $40,000 you did'nt spent to over compensate for a larger truck and see if she still thinks size matters.
