I ran the 2022 Ford Maverick Assembly & Production Line Video [From Hermosillo Plant in Mexico] at slow speed to see how the bed is assembled.

2nd image:

If the Maverick unibody is similar I can see how exterior panels might be bolted on to the inner unibody.

And then there is the monocoque chassis, which consist of a center tub (bolted, welded or rivet construction) that houses the humans….to that are bolted front and rear clips that attach to the tub, the front clip is motor and suspension, the rear clip is rear suspension and differential. The fenders bolt to the clips while the center tub has minimal body work other than the pre skinned doors which are hung from the tub…..the old XKE Jaguars are a beautiful example of this
