just read an article from Ford Authority on FB. They quoted dealer inventories for Mavericks in September was just under 4000 units. There are right at 3000 dealers. It wouldn’t let me post the article or I would have. It looks like market adjustments will be here for a while yet.

It's considered "at dealership' as soon as it's unloaded. My Two reserved and ordered 21 Broncos were in dealer inventory until we took them home. Additionally, all destined for waiting commercial customers are also on there.

Saw one sold today with a 5k market adjustment and the dealer had it on the lot less than a day. I think the market for Mavericks stays hot for a while even as the market for higher priced trucks cools.

Regarding Granger in Iowa and their website shows a couple of Mavericks in transit or on order to the dealership. They apparently have a somewhat modest markup or adjusted pricing….. but are they actually able to confirm a delivery date? Just curious and hoping some folks have personal input from actual delivered trucks. Thanks in advance…… ✔🇺🇸

I took the article to mean “available for retail sale”. If the counting process works like you said, the actual available inventory was lower than stated! I think there might be more available through private sellers than from dealers.

Bought a 23 Lariat Lux loaded 2 weeks ago for $800 under sticker, no dealer fees of any kind. Right off the lot. Was listed for 5k over 2 months ago, then 2k over 1 month ago. Sales have slowed, so even though inventory is limited, so are buyers.

no doubt at all that there are more Mav's available from private sellers FAR exceeds dealership inventories.

I’m sure it’s somewhat regional, too. Here in East Tennessee, there are none available within 100 miles…or so I’ve been told. I’m sure they could be found, however, depending on how far you’re willing to travel.

I’m assuming you bought a Ecoboost not a hybrid.

My dealer has four "in stock" but all of the listings look like they are en route retail.

Since I wanted AWD, multilink rear suspension, 4k tow, much better performance and negligible real world mileage difference, I guess so.

I have a dealer in my area that seems to be getting them semi regularly and are charging a $2K add on package which is a lot of stuff. Most of them they have for a day or two but they have a few higher priced Lariats that have stuck around a few weeks. Another dealer has had 5 that have been there several weeks now. They are charging $5 markup....in June I stopped in and they were charging $10K markup. I think it's losing steam.....

It's just useful info to the topic. Nobody is buying hybrid off lots for $800 under sticker. There is a reason for that but if I needed what AWD, multilink rear suspension, and 4k tow provide I would have done the same as you. I don't. I seriously doubt you are seeing over 40mpg routinely but again for what you wanted in a truck the lower MPG is acceptable.

Similar story in my area. There were some sitting stagnant on lots for $10K markup, but now they're $5-7k, and still not selling. None of them are Hybrids.
