Yes, the XLT key still has to be used and turn on start/ready. The AC works great even without the the ICE running.

Dear Ford, it is 2023…even base models everywhere else have push button start… but my ‘18 Hyundai Kona tells me once a year that you did it wrong (didn’t hold the brake pedal, didn’t press the button right) and the car acts like it is on it‘s last cylinder….

Got 51 mpg at 91 degrees on trip to ranch, on way home 45 mpg with max cold first half of trip about 60 miles round trip. The 45 mpg was also spent in a drive thro for 10mins. So could have been better, temps under 100. Slippery mode used more & more, just have to start braking earlier with regen off.

102° here but haven't remote started it yet. My garage is heated and air conditioned because the Bentley demands it so the Maverick gets the benefit also.

Well I have survived without remote start for 72 years won't miss it a bit. Adaptive cruise control is one of the most useless features ever invented. Have had 4 wheel drive trucks for 40 years and hope to God I never own another. Headlight dimmer switch should be in the floor where it belongs. I like a lot of new gadgets they have but those listed are useless to me.

Yea I think most manufacturers are making it a paid add-on now because they are trying to get people to use the app's. It's nothing new, but it does suck that every thing is turning into an add-on now days. You need this package and that package when previously, it was all one package. You got the "luxury" package and it came with everything. Like RAM's differentiation between bighorn, lariat and laramie - they were subtle difference but no need for adding things like navigation with one, or remote start with the other - it just came with it. Now there are 15 different versions and each one has different add-on's with some models still not getting certain features you'd get for adding the same package on another tier in a model just above it.

Anyways... /rant. Everything now days is a "subscription" extra fee.

Meanwhile, in Montana today:

FYI it’s back to how it was, I think. Remote start is included on 2024 Mavs with the luxury packages. Screenshot is from current configurator. Assuming this is referring to the button on key fob since fordpass already works with all trims standard

Well I don't have any Idea if that is good or bad because I have no idea who Dana Carvey is. Mine is not supposed to be built for another 3 weeks and I am sure I will have likes and dislikes, but it will have to be a real bother for me to complain. To me the point of the truck is to get from point A to point B and not spend so much money on the truck you don't have any left to enjoy where you go.

New Record in Phoenix. Every single day in July was over 110. Also new record Low temp. The record High Low temp was shattered. 97 is the new High(low temp). That means that it never cools off at night/morning. Several days the low temp was 97.
On a good note... The Maverick handled the heat just fine!

And they should put the starter button back beside the throttle too!
