It does provide for updates via included standard USBcable.

The size perspective in the photo is much larger than actual.

I'm not trying to promote this gauge or justify it's use, only passing along my short time with the gauge and the truck. It like is one of many solutions if one wants a few dedicated reading at eye level while driving. $60 is on the lower side also. I will look at it's settings and see if I can get it dialed in better for hybrid use.

There is a setting for stop/start which was defaulted to off. I set it to on and it appears to be the setting for hybrid, though I have not yet driven it for a thorough test.

Pic attached actually looks larger than it is. The display looks nice.

Some people just like to have it lol. It's kinda like how I'd like to see the battery charge level Prius style but can't. There's nothing wrong with having the tach, it's kinda like saying why have a regular speedometer when you can see it in the middle screen digitally.

Yep, I agree. And if nothing else, just the nostalgia. Different strokes for different folks! I would despise looking at ev coach, but others love it. Thats life

It does shut down after 5 seconds of electric...then powers up immediately. While not perfect, it is fast enough cycling back on so as not to be too objectionable. I have thought about running through the setting to try to eliminate this cycling, but have yet to get a "roundtoit". So many roundtoits...

I only have a few hundred miles on the truck and still so much to learn...Carplay secrets is my current focus.

Starting with my wife's 2009 Ford Escape, now her 2016 Escape, my two Chevy Volts, Buick Encore, 2 F350 now my Maverick. I never look at the analog speedometer anymore.

I look at the analog speedometer when I want to see MPH and KPH at the same time.
