Heres todays how to for the novice. Maverick decal letters. Decals on a car arent just peel and stick. After washing and drying the area where the letters go, you put a "few" drops of soapy water in a spray bottle. You spray where the letters go, then peel and set them in place. This allows you to slide them around to get them where you want them. When they are where you want them, then you press down on them gently with a paper towel to wick out the water. I went with reflective black.

It's not a factory ford thing. Just something aftermarket. Just look up lighted car cup coasters on ebay, or amazon. Theres several with different vehicle logos.

My el cheapo seat cover install step by step. Less than 2 minutes to remove and install. The green plastic pieces have proven themselves. I'm going to make them out of solid aluminum rod stock and use a drill press for the holes.

Some metric and SAE also line up. For instance 13mm and 1/2" are close enough to be used interchangably.
You are correct, however, I like to have both at hand for a better fit especially when dealing with tight nuts or bolts. Rounding off heads can be frustrating and can make a relatively easy job a real pain.

I agree, but sometimes in a pinch you do what ya gotta do. A 1/2" wrench and 13mm are so close the 1/2" actually fits on a 13mm bolt tighter than the 13mm wrench does. I use those 2 wrenches interchangeably. And will use a 1/2" on a 13mm bolt or nut if I dont want it to strip.

Get Snap On wrenches and sockets with flank drive if your worried about stripping stuff. You can actually remove rounded off nuts with those, because the box ends of the wrenches, and the sockets are machined to grip the flats on the nuts and bolts, and not the edges of the points on other wrenches where a bolt or nut will strip.

Yes I have and use Snap On along with Mac, S&K, Matco, Proto, and Craftsman, plus some junk China Freight for hitting the wrecking yards. It sucks to maintain a complete set of tools at the house, plus a set at work to make a living. My really good stuff stays at work. 9 more years and I retire. Hope to God to never look at another airplane after that.

Absolutely, when in a situation with no other alternatives it's good to know how and when to interchange wrench sizes. I wasn't aware of the Snap On difference. I knew they were much too expensive for a non-pro like myself, but I just assumed they were just better made and not that they used a different and far superior method of attacking nuts. Thanks very much for educating me.

Let's hope that in 9 years time the only look you get at an airplane is inside the cabin awaiting take-off to Fiji.

Fiji sounds wonderful. Wife and I plan on doing the travel trailer gig around the country. Something small for just the 2 of us. Maybe an aerodynamic light weight trailer about 3,500 lbs. I got the 4K tow pak for just such an adventure. As I get closer to retirement, we may start taking 2 week long trips here and there. We also want to do some tropical vacations as well. I'm out of the game at 63 so I can enjoy what's left of the rest of my life. The commercial airline industry will be just fine without me.

Thanks for the front seat idea. I just ordered the Orange trim seat covers. They will be here today, and match up well with the Orange accents of my truck.

I have the same ones. Inexpensive, easy to put on & remove and durable. I have an 8 year old, so I leave the back seat ones on all the time. I added velcro to the bottom flap so they also anchor to the lower portion of the seat.
