Manual Lumbar Support, False Advertising?

Not sure what you are asking, but the adjustments are:
1. Forward
2. Back
3. Recline
4. Incline
5. Up
6. Down
It doesn't do that. The height button only raises and lowers the seat all together. Notice how if you pull up on the button from the front or the back, it does the same movement

Maybe Ford's seat has lumbar support built in but it is not adjustable. That is 1 possibility.
I would imagine the dealer would refund your money and take back the Maverick, mark it up and sell it. I doubt there is any legal action possible here but you can try.

Did you test this on a demo?
Yes it is 6, but it is supposed to be 8 way on the power seat.
I tested it on a unit that was for sale. It was an XLT luxury package.

I am pretty seat-picky. I sat in like 6 different Mavericks at 2 different auto shows. I found the manual seats to be more than acceptable for what I like. I'm not a fan of huge lumbar support, but I like seat bottom tilt or bolstering for thigh support. The manual seats were similar to the Ford Explorer's seats with the lumbar all the way retracted, which again I appreciated.
Conversely, I found the Honda HR-V's manual seats to be quite awful. It's like the designers took the power seat, cranked the lumbar to 11/10, and said that's where the manual seat's lumbar will be stuck at.
The issue that I have with any manual seat (Maverick included) is that it's hard to get minute adjustments. You have to raise and lower the seat one pump at a time and slide the seat forward and back one notch at a time.
I didn't take any measurements, but on the ole butt dyno, I also felt like the power seat had a wider range of height adjustment. Like, I could darn near hit the ceiling with the seat all the way up, and feel like I'm sitting in a full-size sedan (legs more out in front of you) with the seat all the way down.
I wish more vehicles had a 10- or 12-way seat. My '99 and '02 F-150s and '01 F-250 had 8-way power seats with manual recline and manual lumbar, so 12 total adjustments:
1. Forward
2. Backward
3. Up
4. Down
5. Seat bottom front edge up
6. Seat bottom front edge down
7. Seat bottom rear edge up
8. Seat bottom rear edge down
9. Recline (manual)
10. Incline (manual)
11. Lumbar out (manual)
12. Lumbar in (manual)
Function 3 was the same as hitting 5 and 7 simultaneously, and function 4 was the same as hitting 6 and 8 simultaneously.

Lumbar is its own thing , it isn't supposed to be included in the "way". This also doesn't explain the lack of manual lumbar in the XLT and XL trims
Lack of lumbar ADJUSTMENT in the XL or XLT would have killed them for me. Fortunately my orders are for Lariats. Having had lumbar fusion last year, and a bad back overall, I find that what was once comfortable is no more. Need that finite adjustment so the power seat is a necessity to make it work........as long as it works well. The XLT I test drove had it and it was MUCH better than what is in my current Ridgeline. That one barely moves at all and might as well not even be there.

Where'd you read that? I'm just reporting what I observed after sitting in like half a dozen different Mavericks at two separate auto shows. I can definitely confirm that the 8 "ways" I listed are correct for the power seat. I'd be bouncing off the walls if the seat bottom tilted, but it doesn't.
Different manufacturers list things, well, differently. I sat in another car advertised as having a "2-way" seat and thought maybe it only slid forward and aft. It reclines too; that manufacturer just lists a paring of directions as a single "way".
Well it is 1/10/22 nd a manual adjustable lumbar support is still on ford website as standard equipment on both XL and XLT. Two months after this thread started it is still on the website so you should expect it when it arrives. Picked my hybrid XLT up on 1/6/23 and no manual adjustable lumbar.
