Nice idea to integrate the cupholder and trash can in one unit. If that textured area was an opening for trash that would be good. Trash can looks a bit deep though and it might not fit properly in the FITS for people who have thicker rear floor mats that cover that center floor hump. The bottom of the trash can can hit the mat as the mat fills in the gap. Also, might want to leave a gap between trash can and rear seats in case people put seat covers that are a bit thicker that might fill in that gap.

I love the idea and think you're on to something. But two things:

1. Just like people have already said. Get rid of the textured shelf behind the cup holder. Make it a hole so you can just put trash in without lifting the cup holder out of the way. If I'm driving by myself, I would want to be able to reach back and drop trash in easily.

2. The trash can looks like it tapers down to a smaller width at the bottom. The cup holders already takes volume away from the trash can, as they sit in the trash can. I would make the sides straight. this would allow for more trash to fit in.

At a reasonable price with what I mentioned, say $20 or so, I would definitely buy one from you.

Ford OEM accessories provides Ford Integrated Tether System package including cup holder, phone cord organizer, bag hooks, storage/trash bin, multiple dividers for the under-seat storage area. I know many of you only need a few of these and don't want to buy the full set. I learned that the trash can is one of the necessities of many Maverick owners. So we want to design a trash can which can also be used as a cup holder. Please tell me if you like the texture and do you need it? It will decide whether we will produce. Thanks a lot.

My own thoughts on what I would like to see in a trash bin run in a different direction from others. I have a XLT where the rear seat center fold down console provides for two cup holders. I don’t need access to additional cup holders. Rather, I would like to have a square bin large enough to accept a standard plastic grocery tote. The bag would fold back over the top and be secured possibly by a Velcro wrap around strap. On one or both sides would be either a cord wrap organizer or a FITS receiver to give the owner multiple options for their use. An additional option might include a lift off top tray with a raised rim to retain small items similar to what we find with the recent dashboard trays.

You should add a wire manager for charging cables on the top portion of each side of the trash can. Allow both passengers to unwind their charging cord and charge.
