LOWERING THE MAVERICK

I took delivery of my Maverick XLT AWD 2.0EB on October 9, 2021. The first day of ownership I started looking for a proper wY to lower it with I n a reasonable budget. I just received notice that the H&R Super Sport Lowering Springs will be shipped to me December 15th. Santa must t be bringing the kit.
My question is; have any of you lowered your Maverick yet other than with air ride or coil overs ?
If you lowered it with a spring only kit are you satisfied with the look and performance of thr application?
Last; which kit did you purchase and install ?

I am currently riding on H&R Super Sports

They feel great, but they are not low enough..... however that may be purely because I was on coilovers for the previous 5 months

No, I'm right, not low enough for me but def looks better than not lowered at all

Lots of lowered Mavericks on H&R Escape springs. Consensus seemed to be that the ride wasn't great, but they weren't designed for the Maverick either.

I ordered Eibach springs and they're already here. Trying to convince myself to wait for my January hybrid instead of lowering my EcoBoost that I'll sell as soon as the hybrid arrives.

I waited for Eibach because of their reputation, previous experience with them, and that they're the lowest coils available. I wanted it lower, but I didn't go with Scales because because of what @volksnuts went through. I considered the Silvers too, but I drive 30k miles a year and didn't want to hassle with expensive specialty parts in the event of a failure.

In my past experience H&R springs do not ride great in anything. But they are an inexpensive way to get a nice stance change. If you really want ride quality you will need to go to a proper coilover complete set up. But even with just the springs the ride isn't terrible relatively speaking

I’ve run H&Rs on several “builds” and they’ve always ridden great (stiffer than stock but not too stiff)
Plus they’ve always been slightly lower than the comparable Eibachs (which I have also used many times)

You just have to decide what you want, there are enough options now that you should be able to get what you want

I lowered on H&R escape springs and like them a lot. they seem to lower them a little bit more than the maverick specific ones from what I have seen. I honestly haven't noticed much difference than stock.

I would like the look of the low coilovers, but the best ride possible. Also the exhaust looks low under the truck. Seems like that might rub on somethings? Sucks I have to wait for spring to lower mine. Not sure how much snow is coming.

Even the low coilovers aren’t low enough to the ground to affect the exhaust

Your right in texas. But in Connecticut I have to worry about Ground clearance. That's why I wanted coilovers, to raise for the winter. But I'm still deciding. I have a couple months to decide.

I'm only worried because it's a brand new truck. I use to drive a used Chevy xtreme in the snow, with snow tires. I use to plow the snow a little with the front body kit.

I completed installation of the H&R Super Sport lowering spring kit yesterday afternoon and will post pictures and my thoughts after I put a few hundred miles and have all 4 wheels aligned. Driving through the neighborhood all seemed okay.
CAUTION : The right front drive axle may pull off the output shaft without you knowing it. Everything will go together fine. Luckily my initial test drive was only 15 feet. It makes plenty of noise in 3 wheel drive so you will know all is not right. I backed it into my shop and properly re-installed the right front drive axle. I love doing jobs twice just for fun.
All things considered this was not difficult at all. Be sure to ha e a helper to share tools and start bolts.
