What is the recommended washer fluid brand?
The carwash I go to has complimentary washer fluid. If I were to buy it then I recommend a windshield washer fluid with freeze protection for -20°F.

I know this is an old thread, but mine came on at 3K miles and it held about a quart. The sensor is the problem.
I believe my sensor is fine. When the light came on saying the washer fluid was low i added almost a gallon to the reservoir. The light has not come on since. I have been keeping it topped off every time I do an oil change or air filter change and just a simple oil level check. I have over 30K in miles and it has been never low since. I need to let it run low again to see what is going on.

I have noticed when the fill neck is full looking back into the fender area there is air space on the plastick tank. Maybe a little piece of tubing in a undersized hole would allow the extra fluid from the gallon to be put in all at once. My F150 did a full gallon. this truck should too. IMHO.

Picked up my 26 hybrid lariat on Labor day and four days later, the low washer fluid sensor came on. I filled it with about a half gallon of washer fluid and it hasnt come on since.

The baffling part is that it waited four days to come on. Secondary baffling part is the dealer prep didn't fill the fluid reservoir

Similar happened with me.
Had to go back to the dealer for something else and had them fill it.

Based on other's experiences (people I know), dealer prep has been lacking with a lot of missed cleaning, fluids, etc.

I have a 24 ECO Lariat. I haven't had this issue but I have a question for the group. Am I the only one who noticed when the low washer fluid light comes on it doesn't take a gallon or more? Mine comes up light on a gallon. Are there any way to make tha capacity larger on the tank either on the lower or upper section that is just a push in assembly? Thanks in advance...
Took almost a full gallon when I filled it up.

Since you are in Florida, I doubt you need sub-zero freeze protection.
I've seen reports on other forums that Rain-X can caused fluid level sensor problems, so you might want to avoid that, (or not) but otherwise, whatever is on sale will work as a cleaner.

If the best is the best price, instead of paying $5 of $6 a gallon, make your own.
Mix a cup less a gallon of water with a few drops of Dawn dish soap and a cup of vinegar and you've got a viable cleaning solution that also isn't toxic.

If you NEED freeze protection, you can add isopropyl or rubbing alcohol to the mix to reduce the solution freezing point as needed.
