OK. As an intro, I don't own a Maverick -- yet. Have been lurking here for a while -- and trying to order the 'exact' config I want for a few YEARS now! Yeah, the pandemic got in the way and some personal health issues -- and, 1 year+ lead times!! Ouch.

I absolutely love the 2016 Fusion Titanium (with 2.0L EcoBoost, 240HP, 270 lb-ft) I own. Fog lights, paddle shifters, heated AND cooled seats -- shall I continue  ?? And it's tricked out with quite a few Forscan options I've added. This car d*r*i*v*e*s. But...

I wanted some towing and hauling capabilities -- and that EcoBoost engine. Well, the Ford dealers in my area just weren't cooperating. One was bumping the MSRP up by $2,000 a little over a year ago! C'mon. And none of the dealer-ordered trucks had the factory equipment I wanted: tow and off-road package on the Lariat. I did listen to the B&O and it's sweet! As good as the sound in my Fusion. These old ears (6 decades) still are picky. And to order and wait 6 months was just too risky for my pocketbook.

Anyway, the 2025MY has diddled with the Lariat packages to where I can't get the combo I want. So, I'm stuck looking for a 2024MY (Red or Black!) -- nothing within a 100 miles so far. Not sure I really want to order one... This fence is beginning to hurt

Keep looking , I honestly believe there very well could be a substantial amount of 2024 Mav,s that have been ordered but not being picked up .You might have to compromize a bit , Dealers in north Florida all have Mav,s on the lots ,a year or two ago there where none and big mark ups. Now 2025 is out, that makes 2024 trucks slightly depreciatted .I can say with a great deal of certainty. With 7% to 9% car loans a bad economy for lots of folks, stock market is wobbily all of a sudden talking a possible recession. I walk on a ford lot and buy a 2024 with my checkbook in hand ready to buy then and there with a minimum of a 5 to 7% discount. And if I wait till December Traditionally the worst car buying month for dealers and the 2025,s are being delivered ,that 5 to 7% discount grows to 9 or 10.. Just my opinion.

I have 24 dealers within a hundred miles. Nothing local but found what I wanted with 4K tow 90 miles away at MSRP. Keep looking and don't limit your area of search.

Dealers are starting to get caught up on their Mav orders.
I was just at my dealer and people are picking ones they have coming in, that are for stock. They might not even show on the website. So you might be better served calling the dealer to see what they have scheduled and will be coming in.

You can also still order a ‘24. Just make sure the dealer as allocations.

No dealer should be doing above MSRP anymore. Mine does invoice pricing and $175 doc fees.

I am not sure which ones mine has coming, but if Rochester isn’t too far for you, I would give them a call. My sales guy said they do get a good number of allocations each month. Van Bortel Ford, East Rochester, ask for Steve Miller.

As far as your Fusion goes. I had a ‘17 SEL 2.0 AWD, was sad to see it go, but I typically don’t keep vehicles past their 5/50 powertrain warranty. My ‘22 Lariat Mav rides even nicer than my Fusion did, which was a little of a shock because of how well the Fusion rode. It is the Mav’s longer wheelbase. Power and everything is the same. Just the shorter nose takes getting used to, when pulling into parking spots, I still don’t always pull in far enough; drove cars for so long 😄. Just talking a foot or so. And it is so great having the bed.
I would say the only other slight trade off might be the loss of folding the back seats to have trunk access and getting climate controlled air to it, and the trunk being completely weather sealed. You can get the bed mostly water sealed, so not a big deal to me. I even put in a cheap Home Depot rubber mat to keep things up a little and to help with stuff sliding around. And since just my wife & I going on trips, the rear seat has is plenty of space for luggage anyway.

checkbook is locked and loaded :fingerscrossed:
:) You need to expand your search ,you can ship for $1000 to 1500 anywhere in the country just about ,I almost guarantee if you want a 2024 dealers will be happy to ship it free very soon and maybe even with a slight discount. OR just order a 2025 At MSRP and get Exactly what you want , I would not order a 2024 without 5% off MSRP . Cars are a depreciating Asset:) :) I believe if I read correctly 2024 ordering will stop on August 9.

OP, be sure ask your dealer about the Ford $750 incentive on 2024 Mavericks purchased before 29 Sep. I mean, why pass up good money, right? I received that offer in the mail last week.

Also OP, you might consider lightly used Mavericks. They're out there. I'll be adding my Maverick to the lightly used Maverick inventory soon, and it's red, but I'm not near you.

I have a '23 available with 8k miles on it. Lightly used and loaded I bought it off the lot when I ordered a hybrid that is due any day now. It also has the BAP (Black Appearance Package). I might deliver because i can put my motorcycle in the back.

The dealer can look up your name & address to see if you have one. I have gone to the dealer and they show one, and I never got anything in the mail. That happened to me yesterday.

Used to be able to ‘force’ one by going to the Ford website and request a physical brochure and say you planned to by now, then it would show up with one in that, but they stopped that and then stopped doing physical brochures all together.

It seems to now be tied now active you are on Ford’s websites, or signup at events that Ford has a booth at.

I live in Milwaukee and searched the entire state for my truck. I searched 4-5 times a week. Found one 100 miles away. Went to look at it and bought it. They had to prep it since it just came in that morning and delivered it to my driveway , no charge..............Look up the zip codes for places 100 miles away from you. Go to the Ford website and change the zip codes. Then search. You will find one.
