Lost the rear backup proximity alert

This is my wifes truck. It use to have the alert when you started getting close to something in reverse, not sure exactly what it is called.

One day it just went away, trying to figure out what happened to re-enable it

2022 Lariat with Luxury Package? Has the 4 sensors across the rear bumper?

When in reverse, it should display a prompt on the instrument cluster LCD to enable/disable the rear parking aid.

Other than fleet orders, the only way to get a 2022 Maverick with the rear parking sensors was to opt for Lariat + Luxury Package. Otherwise, the most you'll get are the guidance lines. No audible alert when you're getting close to something.

If you have the optional ~$650 Co-Pilot360 package, you have BLIS - the blind spot indicators on the side mirrors and cross-traffic alert when in reverse.

Given that yours was not equipped with that feature from the factory and you haven't demonstrated it, no, no one here is going to understand how it would have previously worked without the sensors.

When backing up were you getting a cross traffic or something out the rear corner alert? I don't own a Maverick but my Hyundaia does this. I don’t have back up audible just cross traffic that will alert me. Just a thought.
