Lost my fuel level on the new Ford Pass app?

On my 2025 hybrid XLT FWD, I lost my fuel level on my phone's Ford Pass app about 2 to 3 weeks ago!
I went to my servicing dealer and she could see it on her computer and I also can see it on the Ford.com website.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled it several times without success.
I tried a soft reset on sync and no success.
Has this ever happened to anyone?
Any suggestions on what to try?

Yep known issue as several threads have pointed out.

They stopped being active at the top of list because it's a known issue, to be corrected with an update at some point.

I would only be concerned if I lost the fuel level on the dash. The APP is nice but I rarely look at it. I have used the APP to lock or unlock maybe 3 times.

Here's something weird for you, the android app has a widget. In the app itself I see % --, but on the widget it shows the proper % and range.

So the data is being sent to the app, it's how the app is applying it. Clearly, this is on Ford's app software department.

same thing here, I am simply living with it and waiting to see if there is an update coming in the pipeline. It is an irritation but as long as it is still displaying in the truck I can live with it.

I just bought a 26 Lariat Hybrid and have the same issue. They asked if I have android, which I do. They had me look at my app to see what version was installed and if ended in 17 older, the app has a bug in it that isnt allowing the vehicle to relay that information. They said a new update should come out next week to fix it.

It works 100%!

It's not a matter of life or death, but if it's there and worked, it should work as designed!
There are enough annoying things that should work but don't:
Like auto down and up windows, saving your drive settings; even for driver 1 and driver 2, foglight option......etc

Ford has not issued a formal, verbatim public statement or press release regarding this specific glitch. Instead, the admission comes exclusively through internal support communications.

When Maverick owners contact customer service or use the app's chat support, representatives read from an internal ticketing script stating that they are "aware of an ongoing technical issue impacting the vehicle status display on certain models" and that a permanent software fix is expected.

Because it is treated as a minor app bug rather than a mechanical or safety defect, Ford has not published an official quote on their public-facing corporate newsrooms or support sites.

Android’s standard battery optimization often aggressively cuts off background data for the Ford app, freezing the widget's fuel updates.

Fix this on your phone by applying these precise settings:

Long-press the Ford app icon on your home screen and tap the "i" (App Info) icon.

Tap Battery, then switch the setting from Optimized to Unrestricted.

Go back one screen, tap Storage, and select Clear Cache.

Return to your home screen, tap the widget to open the app, and pull down on the app's main page to force a fresh data sync.

Note: Ford is currently rolling out an app update to fix a known glitch where vehicle fuel levels intermittently disappear from Android screens.

If the steps above do not work immediately, keeping the app updated via the Google Play Store will resolve it permanently.

Is "unrestricted" supposed to bring back the fuel status on the app home screen? It doesn't.

Deleted cache and storage
Uninstalled app
Reinstalled app
Set battery to unrestricted
Cleared cache again
Opened app
Refreshed page
Battery still reads %-- on the home page
Battery still displays correctly on the widget

Just to have a correct frame of reference on how it works - for future issues that will of course happen.

The Ford app does not stop the truck from relaying info.
The app does not talk directly to the truck.

The app talks to a Ford server. In this case an app field (fuel) is likely pointing to a field on the server that is incorrect or doesn't contain the right data. Because a different app field does get the required info from the correct location.
Which is why this is especially bad for a programming error - the correct field to query was known, and used elsewhere, and had data.

The vehicles talk to a Ford server, at least on each turnoff - location and all the stats you see in the app, and more info. You using the app doesn't even matter on this - info is still sent up.
A few stats are updated in the truck, and if deemed required to report - the truck updates the Ford server during an hourly ping it does to keep the network connection active thru AT&T.

Hopefully that helps many understand how it works.
If the app is showing ANY data that is current (like location) - it's talking to the Ford server, and also proves the truck is too.
