The front USB that connects to the CarPlay, if I hit a bump go over train tracks sometimes just hit the brakes too hard it will kick me off CarPlay. Something is loose inside. Any tips suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue. Got it replaced under warranty b/c it was a loose connection inside. Wish I could say that resolved the problem of disconnecting w every bump, but, the new one is the same: a Ford POS.

I just replaced the USB hub. It improved the connection, but it’s still losing it.

I took it to the dealer for another reason and asked the service advisor. He said he isn’t familiar with that specific problem, but he thinks it’s either the cable/connection in the back or the module itself.

I ordered a cable-testing device and a new mini USB cable, so I’ll test that next.

I'm of the opinion that you tested your cable first thing. If the problem still persisted, looks like a dealer issue with the rear USB connection. Let us know how it resolves.

Take the panels out and push the cables in — that helped me the first time, a couple of months back. Now I’ll be replacing the cables, since pushing them in again isn’t helping anymore.
