Open question to the forum, and I promise I did at least attempt to search for threads that could help, I am interested in adding some of the technology available on other trims to my XLT. Specifically ACC (already have the thread saved for this), 360 camera, BLISS and front/rear parking sensors.

Before I get the "Should have gotten/Just trade for a Lariat" comments, my truck is a company vehicle along with my personal one. So I was fortunate I didn't pay for any of it. So any improvements only add to my benefit or having it at my own expense. If there is anyone that has advice or opinions or links to the threads I seem unable to find I would appreciate it.

Since I am already planning on doing the ACC the learning FORSCAN and wiring are already on the table, so I figured I would expand my potential modifications.

Thanks for any help!

If you want to add anything but ACC you will be the pioneer for 2025s. We only got the ACC working on 2025 models a few days ago.

You might have no big issues adding BLISS and rear sensors, but there are modules your truck doesn't have that control some of them. My XL came with both of those features, so its theoretically possible. Front sensors may be just as easy, if you try it, let me know I want them too.

360 cameras will be another big hurdle, might be impossible. If you want to spend the money and make the attempt, I'll do my best to support you from afar lol.

The IPMA(camera module) on our trucks is missing the plug for the extra cameras, its a completely different hardware revision. On the 2025s the vehicle uses a gateway module to encrypt the communication between most of the modules. There is a process to 'pair' new ones by checking in to the ford servers, involves your vin and verification of the hardware.

It might work with the higher trim IPMA, it might write XL/XLT firmware, bricking the device or locking it to the lower level, or it might just load your lower trim asbuilt and everything is okay. We don't know, and its an expensive thing to play with.

Not only is the IPMA module ~$900, you need a J2534 pass-through device like a mongoose (~$500) a battery maintainer, and a 2 day subscription to ford FDRS ~$120. That doesn't factor in a new bumper cover and grill, mirrors ect. to add all the cameras. That's why it hasn't been done yet lol.

Those were exactly the kind of answers I was looking for. The easy stuff might be the direction I head. Was really inspired by all the work everyone has put in for the ACC, figured other things might be the logical next step. Rewriting firmware might be where I draw the line though. Plug and Play or minimal addition wiring/value changes feels doable and safe, but I guess I'll research more on the rest. Thanks for your input!
