Frankly there is no reason to buy a hybrid in the XLT trim unless you want extra creature comforts that come with the luxury package. Ecoboost maybe if you want the FX4 package. Assuming creature comforts aren't your thing the XL trim is the way the go for the hybrid. Spend the extra $100 and get the trailer hitch with 4 pin connector. Whether you tow or not that trailer hitch will greatly expand the functionality of the bed if you haul anything long than about 8 feet using a bed extender connected to the hitch. Also whether you want the safety features or only power mirrors on the XL get the Copilot 360 package. That package will get you an insurance discount for the safety features. If you keep the vehicle long enough it should pay for itself in the savings. I'd also get the floor mats with it. You can get aftermarket ones like weathertec but I think having oem ones looks better and they are worth every penny when it comes to keeping the floor carpeting from getting destroyed and dirtied beyond belief.Hello, I’m looking to buy a Maverick and am wondering if there is any general consensus on must have options versus those that are overpriced. I am thinking of buying the hybrid model with the XLT trim But am also interested in an XL trim with upgraded wheels. This will be a 2nd vehicle my family mostly driven by me.
Since it is a family vehicle get a tonneau cover so you can also use the truck bed as a trunk. That one you probably want to look around at aftermarket options besides what Ford offers.
