I bet if you order an XL Ecoboost, you'll have no problem getting one scheduled. A while ago one constraint was the XL's Continental tires of all things. Seems like having a second source is a no brainer. Who really cares about the base OEM tire? I recently retired from Boeing (BDS - the defense side of the business). Boeing was really a stickler for having a second source and splitting orders from both primary and second source with the percentage held out as a carrot. 66/33% was fairly standard.

For not much more $$ I can get a Ranger or Colorado instead.

Base prices
Maverick $23,400
Colorado $29,500 +6K
Ranger $32,670 +9K

Sounds like you're talking yourself out of the Mav and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

360 and hitch should be the minimum options.

I see SOME folks havent crossed shopped these trucks ON THE LOT!
Both are close to $40+ v-6 4x4 x cab base
So a $33k or higher mav. XLT with goofy $500 spray in bedliner , that 360 thing,
full tow pkg, rhat bed divider and I dont think the XLT pkg offers any premium
over the base xl interior along with some other useless options aint much of a deal IMO!
A base 27k awd mav. is a heck of a deal !
If ordered I would get the $100 hitch and 110> full size spare.

Minus gm employee deal AND rebates!
Sadly no bed option and made in mexico also!

Sad no more ford stockholder discount.

I will note there are 2 base awd in white $27k on the lot.
I want black!
She look sharp with a gold set of Centerlines!

I think you mean the Maverick you want compared to a not so well equipped one of those.

Sure, it can be done. For about 2 grand more than a Maverick Lariat Tremor you can get a Ranger XLT FX4 with no other options. The question is... is that what you need or want to do? If truck capability is what you crave and you need that extra towing power and ride height, then it's a no brainer. The Maverick isn't for you. But unless you need those things, the Maverick is a great medium ground.

Either way, not sure what you are trying to achieve in this thread anymore. Make your decision and report back if you feel the need. Good luck.

If you want a 4 cyl when the others have a v-6 its a no brainer.
I had my time with GM 1/2 & 3/4 trucks with a plow on the front
and the camper on the back. Those days are gone!

A awd xl base will fill my needs for now.
GM or Rangers are a bit more than I want to spend!
$27 k is the sweet spot.
