Have lurked here for a couple years now but finally decided to jump in. Also active on the Reddit sub.
2022 XLT Lux Hybrid A51
Ordered back in Sept of '21 and diligently kept up with all the news via both platforms. After no comms from Ford for most of a year and my dealer telling me my order wasn't likely to be scheduled before the first great rollover, I was prepared (not happily, mind you) to wait another year for what was still a great deal for a new hybrid truck. I happened to take my Focus in for yet another CE light knowing it was on its way out and noticed an A51 that was close to what I ordered in the showroom area. Asked my dealer about it and she said it was waiting to be picked up by the person that ordered it. I told her that if that person dropped it for any reason, I'd be really interested. The next day she reached out saying that they weren't able to afford it any longer and she got me first dibs on it if I was still interested and okay with the a $3K markup. Still not sure how we managed to scramble fast enough to make it happen. Ended up paying about $5K more in total than my original order but they gave me a good trade-in deal for my dying Focus to help. I've now had my A51 for almost a year and have 12K miles on it. Have loved it the entire way.
