Interested in a tune from livernois (cobb is sort of in play) and have some questions from a mechanic (but never dealt with a tune) standpoint.

What happens with the selectable drive modes? (I have unlocked sport and eco fwiw but rarely change them)

They say I'll get a tune and a tow tune. Does switching between them program the ecu each time or is it a coding change? I'm a german mechanic so "Program" is writing new software on the ecu, "coding" is picking a map or feature set and not a program change to me.

Basically the same question but in regards to the "multi-tune" add on. Is picking a different tune a program install, or a mapping change?

I'm trying to figure out if changes = more software re-writing of an ecu or just a map selection after one program install.

I'm not worried about installing a single tune while under warranty, but I don't want to be deleting and re-writing software in the ecu with every change.

Finally, can you make requests? I have a stop/start "memory" device on the bus and don't need it eliminated. I run with it off most of the time, but will turn it on in certain situations. I only use top tier fuel 89-93. Maybe a tank of 90 ethanol free, but I'm

Most of my desire to do this is the miserable shift quality/lag/tip in hesitation this truck has. I'm used to stuff I work on and if I can feel a shift or wait for acceleration something is wrong. Truck will stay stock until things fail. Will I like what a tune does?
