I recently had Line X installed and while the installer did pretty well there were a few issues I'm not super happy about.
1) They sprayed in the threaded holes even though they said they would not. I can see some threads that aren't covered in the hole but some of the initial threads in some of the holes definitely have line x in them.
2) They didn't remove the plugs in the bed even though they said they would. Instead they are just sprayed over.
3) There is a small spot of overspray on the top of the plastic trim on the top of the bed up near the cab. This one bugs me a little. There is also some on the plastic on the edge of the tailgate. This one doesn't bother me as much because that is an area that is going to get abused anyway.
So with regards to #1, will I just be able to thread through this stuff if I ever want to use the threaded holes or will I need to somehow clean it out first?
With regards to #2, I'm not sure if I care too much other than that they weren't straight/accurate with me from the start. Why would I ever remove these plugs?
#3 is annoying me a little. Is there likely anything I can do here? The spot is small and it's in a corner up near the cab. It's possible there was other stuff like this that was wiped up before the line x was dry and they just missed this spot.
I already emailed the installer about #3. I haven't really laid into them about 1 and 2 because I'm not sure what good that would do at this point. What I don't understand is this place has a very high rating on google based on hundreds of reviews. Maybe I'm too picky? I just dropped over $700 for the premium line x so I guess that set my expectations kind of high.
