So Ive been looking for a camper for when I get my Mav. I will start with I don't care about a bathroom or kitchen I just don't want to sleep in a tent. And I want something really cheap and light. I have found The Runaway Campers (https://www.runawaycampers.com/rouser) with a "standing-height" version. Weight less than 1000lbs and less than $10k. I have watched a number of youtube videos and really like this option.

Another option to think about is looking at the RV renting websites.

Sometimes you can find a tiny camper near you so you can try them out before you buy. Using these sites has a learning curve. Like does the trailer come with pots and pans etc or do you need to bring your own? But they can be a cheaper way to try different campers. Just a thought

You got pop up tents teardrops bolers and a line camper (looks like a triangle pops up) most are 1600 to 3400lbs. Don't forget water food and clothing adds to the weight so you might want to stay around 1500lbs and that gives you 500lbs of cargo weight. I have the 4k tow package and maxed out (close) it struggles up steep hills.

First time out towing with the maverick. It did great! Highway / backroads I got about 28 mpg on the way there. Some freeway on the way home and closer to 24 mpg. Used a Bluetooth brake controller. Everything went really well.

Haven't towed anything yet, but if you're okay with a basic galley teardrop I've been looking at the Road Toad for towing with our hybrid. 470 pounds dry, 1,000 gross (max). Composite unibody construction.
