I wish it was as easy as raising the seat. Because of the multiple facets involved, it will get to you no matter where you are under the right conditions. No matter, it is something to deal with and I appreciate the suggestions, serious or otherwise. The matte finish in the problem zone seems the most practical if it continues to be a problem. Many thanks.

I did some searching and didn't find anything. I had an experience tonight after two months of ownership and I found multiple reflections from the hood in addition to the direct sun glare when driving into a low angle sunshine. I could block direct sun with the visor but the hood has multiple reflections due to the shape. Much like being on the water looking into a bright sun with reflections from water ripples below. It was truly scary. I suppose the white color increased the effect, but short of covering the hood with black velvet, are there any tips for mitigating this situation? I was wearing level 3 polarized sunglasses as well.
I drive into the sun each way to and from work.... when its sunny. My truck is Cactus Grey and I had the ceramic coat put on it. I think its more of the ceramic coat that is increasing the glare. It is very bad. I have tried to adjust the height of the seat with no real change. I will mention that the visor is useless for me as well. Up here in Illinois the sun seems to always be right in that gap to the left of the visor and the right of the pillar. I am thinking matt black stripes will help on the hood. I think I will be getting the windshield "eye brow" tint on as well.

Easy solution: Polarized sunglasses. Most vehicles have some issues with sun reflections, whether it is the hood, the mirrors, or a reflective piece of interior trim. Sometimes, the issue is reflections off the vehicle in front of you.
I have polarized Oakley's and another high quality set and neither help with this glare. its pretty rough for me. This could just e a northern thing too. Something to do with the angle of the sun at certain times.... ? I wonder if people in the south do not have this issues as much.

I can't remember the username of who did this originally but they also did the roof

I copied and did the hood in matte black vinyl wrap - I find it helps a ton with the hood glare

cost was $310 (cad) with tax - the oem ford one was smaller and $140 so to get a piece 2-3x bigger and professionally installed was worth it for me

Did this fully help with the glare issue?

Maybe choose a darker color vehicle next time? This is one reason I would never buy a white vehicle.
I have the Alto Blue which is almost black and it happened to me. Low sun angle seriously reflecting off those flat angles on the hood. I'm tempted to buy some sort of graphic for that center area.

The glare is bad on the shadow black hood for sure. I bought a tinted "sunvisor" attachment for the driver and passenger. I know it looks odd but after doing a 600 mile road trip it was a life saver.
