Forgive my ignorance on this...

I really like having the upper portion of the headlights like the Lariat. So did you just splice into that? I ordered and XLT and it drives me nuts that the upper portion is basically not used. Basically, can you walk me through this? Are the lights already there, just not used?

Explain it to me like I'm 6 please.

I believe the upper portion of the Lariat's headlights contain an LED strip which is not part of the XL/XLT trims, so it's not like you can wire up and activate a lighting strip which isn't there.
