Something I dont understand about the switch back lights. How do they work? I dont know if its the same on an XL or XLT but I only see 2 wires going to the blinkers on my lariat. I'm assuming they only turn on when power is applied so how does the switchback lighting stay powered when the blinker isnt going?

Has anyone changed the front side marker lights in the tremor, is it easier than the regular maverick which I hear the drivers side light is not easy to do?

i have the new one and frankly they are just dimmer than the old ones. Debating if I should keep the old ones. Never had issues with them hyperflash or what not. The light outputs are much better than the new ones.

the trick to the driver side is to have two people do it. No truck disassembly required.

I bought the kit and swapped them out yesterday, so I haven't put any time in on them...hoping the hyperflash issue is corrected in the newest version of the lamps. As for brightness of the front turn signals, I guess we'll see. The switchbacks look So Good, day and night, the white 'frame' complements the front clip even when they're off (no big amber blotches) I would rather not send them back.

As for running without the DRLs, well, I'd rather replace them than get smacked by someone who didn't see me...I remember when Canada made DRLs mandatory on their cars, and the big difference it made in accident rates. I always thought it was a good idea, and glad we finally caught up with the concept...just my .02
