So like a few others in here, I was very disappointed that the Lariat with Dual Zone Climate Control did not come with the digital displays in the dials.

Some have asked if you can use the Escape/Bronco Sport Climate Control, and the answer is an easy "Yes". No programming necessary, just plug-N-play. Pop the panel off, unscrew the 4 screws on the back and switch the peice out. Super easy, and looks 1000x better.

CaptBanana added this a few comments in. I guess I just got lucky with mine when I purchased it.
It is critical to note that you need to use a module from the same engine type if you're trying to avoid programming it. Taking the climate module from a gas Escape and dropping it into a hybrid Maverick will make all the right lights, but it won't perform as it should due to the different A/C compressor (electric vs. belt-driven) and cooling system configuration on the hybrid.
For removal you can check out my video on disassembling the center dash at the 6:00 minute mark.
2022 Ford Maverick - Dash Center Console Removal & Routing 12v Power Supply to the Cubby - YouTube

I did want to swap out the "Heated Rear Window" button for the "Heated Mirrors" button but didn't want to break it. It's just a minor detail that I'm not super worried about, and it still triggers the heated mirrors.

EDIT: I was actually ended up popping the buttons off and swapping them after seeing another member try it as well. It's not too hard, just get a little pry tool back behind the button and you can gently pop them off.

The clear plastic (for the orange light) may or may not come out with the button. It's fine either way, I've had it happen both ways when I've popped these off a few times now.

Very cool and thanks for posting. I was thinking about this, but concerned it would require a trip into FORscan that I try to minimize... Do you happen to have a part number? Where did you buy yours? All that I can find on ebay are the smaller version without the vents.

I got mine off of ebay for about $40. Part number for the module I got was LJ6T-18C612-GC. I was lucky and didn't have to do any programming or anything with FORScan, but a few people have had to restart their radio system to get it to work.

Another member from Facebook bought his and was able to pop the buttons off, so I took mine apart again and was able to swap them out pretty easily, just needed a small pry tool to get behind the buttons and gently release them. I ended up swapping both the heated mirror button and the recirc button, even though the recirc one really didn't bother me that much.

Does anyone have any experience if the module would swap into the XL, or are the harnesses difference between XL and Lariat?

You could swap to a single done module with the digital display from another vehicle. But wouldn't be able to add the Dual Zone Climate to the vehicle.

Correct, you can swap a single zone which is what I did with my XLT. Got one from an '20 Escape on eBay for $55. Even got added bling of a chrome strip above the heated seats and steering wheel buttons that lights up at night.

Appreciate the help folks, I assume that these consoles would still work on a XL WITHOUT heated wheel or seats; those buttons would have no functionality; but the temperature dial will display and all other functions would work?

I would imagine so. The one advantage you will have is that in order to make the heated mirror, heated seats, and heated steering wheel buttons work I had to enable them using Forscan, you won't need to do that. All the other buttons worked fine.

Quick question I hope. Could you just pop and swap the button without pulling the whole unit ? Is it just as simple as using a pry tool to pop them ?
Thanks

It really is easier with the unit pulled out. Pulling the unit is real easy, there are a couple of threads on here that show you how, just do a search.

I love that little detail. It's very minor but it may be my favorite part lol
