Ram makes what I believe to be the most cost-effective solution, but it's not the most elegant like the work table on F-series.

The ones in Police cars are designed for Toughbooks, they have a charging port on the bottom of the laptop that connects when placed in the cradle

I use this and an inverter often - shows out of stock, but there are others shown on the page. Rides in back floorboard when not in use - cheap , easy, effective....

Has anyone found a laptop holder similar to what police use. I basically work from my car and would love to find something.

I had one a number of years ago that was anchored to the front bolts of the passenger side seat track rails. The laptop mounting surface was located center right of the center console and held in place with a generous amount of Velcro. Worked great. Check with Amazon, they offer multiple sources.
