For those with lane assist, how well does it work for you? Unless I have it on cruise control, I will only on rare occasion feel it working. Even with cruise control, it's a bit on the sloppy side. Is it set up to mostly work when using cruise control?

As I recall, the lane centering only works when adaptive cruse is on. Regular cruise it doesn't work. There might be lane keep assist, which is like bumper bowling, but not the good stuff that basically steers for you. I'm probably using the wrong terms for the tech, but you know what I mean.

It's what I though and the "bumper bowling" analogy makes sense, but it confused me because I have felt it on rare occasion jerk the wheel from me on this one particular road I drive on even with the adaptive cruise control off. Yet, I wasn't out of the lines. Maybe it thinks I'm going to drive straight off the road? Maybe like how on this one bridge I go under, collision warning goes crazy. I think it has to do something with the shadow.

I'd have to check. Is it under the settings? I thought just tapping the side button on the turn signal turns it off or on. It didn't even occur to me there might be settings for sensitivity. I'll have to check.

I believe (check me on this) you can have the adaptive cruise off but the lane keep still on. The button on the steering wheel lets you cycle through the options anytime you like. Try it with cruise off, and then again with adaptive cruise on.

I have all my lane keep stuff turned off unless I'm on the open interstate where I like being able to relax a little. I don't particularly like it when traffic is bad because it tends to keep me a little too close to the vehicle next to me.

I thought so too. I leave the lane keep on at all times, but it does next to nothing unless I turn both the lane keep AND the cruise on. Odd.

Technically it's called
The Ford Maverick’s Lane-Keeping System.
Not to be confused with Lane Centering which I believe requires Adaptive Cruise Control.

It helps prevent unintentional drifting by providing steering nudges or wheel vibrations. It functions via a button on the tip of the turn signal stalk and works at highway speeds (typically over 40 mph) when road lines are clear.
