Key Fob

Before I owned the Maverick, I drove a Ford Escape Hybrid, same essential drive train. Never heard any clicks or anything out of it.

Perhaps prior to the year that started requiring testing of the vapor recovery systems/sensors.
Or before Ford started getting some sort of credits for having less fuel vapors.

What year Escape? My 2020 (1st yeat of this design) Titanium made all the same noises that Mav does.

A lot of new electronics betweem 2008 and 2020. My 2015 Edge did not make all the noises that my 2020 dId.

I was out in front of the garage under the carport, putting a third clear/stain coat on some handrailings, and I had the Maverick key fob in my pocket. I couldn't help but notice the pickup locks cycling. Not sure what that's about. I pulled out the fob and laid it on a work surface, but they still cycled on occasion. It seems to recognize the fob in the near location or something. Anyone else notice anything like this?

2025 XLT, when I was washing it, every time I touched the handle with a brush or sprayed it off with the hose I heard the locks cycling.

My FEH was a 2008 also, never heard the 'clicking' noises like my 25MY hybrid. 2008 was amazing, never a problem, one recall, had 9 years, 95k miles, original tires & brakes, all in good shape. Hope Mav performs as well?

Another funny thing. I bought this key fob cover on EBAY. It made the fob so large it would stick on the silicone ring around the ignition. Not fun, don't buy one. It looked great, but non-functional.
