I have the ultrasonic deterrents on all four walls of the garage, and one on extension cords underneath. I keep poison in the corners for mice, and live traps outside for the chipmunks.

Once the initial problem was gotten under control, I usually don’t see too many

A rabbit did $2500 damage to the wiring on my 16 F150 and $500 wiring damage to my Maverick. I now keep Fox Urine Powder sprinkled under the hoods of the vehicles and on the ground around them.
A rabbit? Did rabbits jump on a skid plate and chew of wires? We have prairie dogs around here and they dig holes everywhere in the yard. Around here, I would put a blame on prairie dogs.

That's worth trying, but I wonder if they will default to open when you shut it off. There are so many default things on new vehicles.
With my Mini Cooper I had the engine running, have the fan going on high, hit the recirculation button, I can hear the vents closing and then I would turn off the engine. It typically stayed closed and I'm pretty sure this would be true with the Maverick.

I have found that the ultrasonic repellent does not work for me. Had 3 turned on in my shed and a mouse still decided to make a nest in my tractor and chew through wires about 2 foot from where the ultrasonic was. Even had motion flashing lights that supposedly deterred them but didn't help. Only thing that helped me was placing 25 mouse traps around the tractor and checking it weekly

Just read a story about a church having that problem. They just made them members of the church and they showed up only on Easter Sunday and Christmas like most of the other members LOL.

Don't use any poison, animal will die inside vehicle and the odor will keep YOU out of the vehicle. Any type of odor material (dryer sheet, Irish Spring soap, moth balls) may work for awhile but eventually an animal will get used to the odor and not care. Best is to use a mouse trap, if outside put a box over the trap with a small hole, mice get in but dogs/cats can't. Also try parking in a different space each night if possible or at a minimum change front to back.

The rabbit ate the Lariat specific loom on my F-150 including a CAN-BUS wire that took out the door locks, front windows, tailgate lock (i could not unlock it to unload), A/C etc. The loom was on the left inner fender between the air cleaner and the master cyl. It also took out the compressor control for the load bags and just for the heck of it the rascally rabbit ate the lt headlight harness.

Gotta love it. Sure is great to find people with sense of humor who like to smile once in a while. Several forum members take EVERYTHING serious and never want to have any fun. Have a great weekend, my friend.

Ultra sonic repellents are close to shake oil. We bought and installed "professional" ultrasonic repellers for over our shipping and receiving docks to prevent the pigeons from roosting up their.

One cool morning I came in to find two pigeons sleeping on top of one of the repellers to keep warm. All the while the little LED on the bottom of thee unit were flashing in a circle to "confirm" that the unite was "working"
