How about the Vulcan greeting from Star Trek?

(Open palm, fingers divided into two pairs by opening between middle and ring finger.)

Still could be representing horns.

I just put my hand out the window and raise my middle finger. My grandma used to do that a lot while driving when I was younger, and she told me it means a Ford. Some kind of "Ford sallute" I guess. Although she always pronounced the brand weird like "eh Fword" for some reason.

Cops have their own "gang" sign too. You take your index finger and rapidly tap your chest twice and your forehead once.

It means two in the chest, one in the head.

As opposed to just regular nerdy?
So just make it different by showing the back of our hand instead of the palm.

Of course there's the old 60s peace sign. Also two fingers and could show the back instead of the front.

Let's face it: Driving a Maverick is going to be nerdy in itself. "Normal" people aspire either to Grand Cherokees or Lexus. (No, an F350 is not normal either, it's a different kind of nerdy.) In the sense of being someone who doesn't follow the herd, Ford picked a good name for this truck. Never mind the association with that compact from the 70s, most everyone has forgotten it completely.

Original meaning of "maverick" is a reference to a calf that has wandered away or been separated from its herd and has no identifying brand on it. Later it acquired the general usage for anyone who is a non-conformist or rebel.

So my little brother has a Jeep and educated me all about this Jeep Wave they all do.
I was on vacation in Ocean City Md coinciding with Jeep Week.

Madonne, those people are REALLY into their Jeeps!

So what do you think? Do we come up with a sign of some sort….

Actually, Jeep owners have a better game. It's called "Duck, duck, Jeep" and involves leaving rubber duckies on each others' Jeeps. Based out of a Facebook group (please, not that.)

The idea is just a cheerful greeting. Often a note is attached, and they share photos of "ducking."

I won't suggest rubber calves. But how about little cards printed with "Moo 2 U, Maverick" at the top and space to write a note of greeting or friendship? Could be left under a wiper or something. We could design a calf logo for it. Even put the URL for Maverick Truck Club at the bottom.

By the way, real mavericks don't have horns. They are young calves.

I'll just do the horns when I start seeing others on the road and see if it catches on.
