So I got a email notice that Dohaman had quoted me from 14 months ago. Well I gave up in April and bought a Ridgeline, which was hard to find too. I've only seen one Maverick in the wild since I first posted.
BTW, I'm on vacation and just down the street is a new Bronco. The owner saw me...
Maybe the gimmicks are needed Dallas. But I like knowing the HP, MPG and that the high zoot model has twice as much sound deadening padding along with the acoustic glass as the base model. Of course that padding is hopelessly wished for. But that's the kind of stuff I'd pay for.
I haven't placed an order yet, why because I just have to have a test drive first. My car is a Outback my wife's an S80 Volvo. Big difference in style and price. I'm happy driving the Outback but when I drive the Volvo it is just so much easier to drive and much quieter.
An acoustic windshield...
Cops have their own "gang" sign too. You take your index finger and rapidly tap your chest twice and your forehead once.
It means two in the chest, one in the head.
R series Beemers have a secret handshake. K series riders have no acknowledgment from Beemers, Harleys, Rice burners or Scooters. They are a hopelessly lost tribe. The R boys won't show them the handshake either.
What else is out there? My wife wants me to buy a high zoot Ridgeline. I'm leaning toward a Maverick, if it's quiet and comfortable enough during a test drive, which means a wait for a dealer demo. But Ridgelines are unavailable around here anyway. Chevy has shut down production, Ford has...
Already retired a long time. I have a perfectly good Outback so I'm willing to wait for a test drive. Not willing to pay over MSRP. My wife wants a Ridgeline so this Maverick has to be really comfortable. I like that I can order just what I want, unlike some brands.
Of course Ridgelines are not...
It will fit a Honda Cub or Vespa straight into the bed. A dirt bike at an angle. That's enough for me. I have trailer for big stuff, maybe once a year.
I fit that old guy profile. Had big trucks and small trucks. I've been waiting for a new small truck for decades. I do think the young guys will go more for the hybrids and the geezers the ecoboost.
As usual I'm confused. I'd like to know the height of the bed with the tailgate down. The specs say lift in height, 30.1 inches and the pickup body height 20.3. My objective is to ride/push a small motorcycle/scooter into the bed using a ramp. It seems the answer is 30.1 but what's the pickup...
Yeah, he says tight but liveable. From the photos that's complete BS. That's why I would trust somebody's father in law, who I don't know, a lot more.
That's also why I like so many others are waiting for reports from the general public. No matter what they say, writers get bennies from the...
I see two demographics reporting here. The Ford targeted young, non-truck group. And us geezers who remember the versatility of the compact truck. A couple of months after buying my first house I bought a Isuzu. A great commuter plus enough of a work truck to do all that new house stuff. I've...
