Havent received 1 email from Ford. My rep forwarded me an email saying i had VIN# and scheduled week of 12/13....

I called my dealer today and talked to someone else cause my rep is on vacation this week and he said its week of 12/20 now

This is getting really old and I thinking of cancelling cause my trade will be worth crap by the time it comes in

Not sure how much your car's value would change in a week, but rather than cancel, I'm sure there are plenty of people here who have a very similar build that wouldn't mind taking over your order (if that's even a thing :p)

I wouldn't back out if I had a build date. Trade in has likely already depreciated as much or more from June until now as it will from now until delivery.

I was going to say, "don't worry, your trade may have even appreciated in the past few months."

However, I just checked my truck that I am trading in and it has dropped in value about $2K since I last checked in August. Granted, it appreciated $4-$5K the past year. But I didn't realize it started dropping again. I don't want to lose much more value as I used the increase to justify moving up to Lariat Lux from XLT. :(

I'm very much in the same boat. I also ordered in June, Alto Blue Hybrid XLT. I have received 2 emails from Ford since. My truck was scheduled to be built in September, my dealer seemed optimistic that I it would arrive by late October early November but from the EPA delays that were being reported on this site I knew that likely wasn't going to happen. Then a couple weeks ago I received an email from Ford saying that due to delays I can expect delivery within a few short months with initial deliveries expected to start in January. On their order tracking site my VIN # has been stuck in the production phase for months now.
I'm also frustrated because the trade-in value on my car got quite high a few months ago but I'm afraid that by the time I can take delivery of this truck it will drop right back down again. That said the only other car I would consider buying right now is a Tesla and that's a months long wait too.

Too make a long story short, I have to call the dealer every week to do my own tracking
My first build date was wweek of Dec 13, I call my dealer today and now its Dec 20.... with the holidays this is telling me that it wont be built till the 1st of the year now
Then take another 4-6 weeks or more to deliver it
im just outside of Boston, so its a long distance from Mexico

Instead of calling your dealer and waiting on them to do the tracking down, just call Ford directly. Have your DORA with you because they need that to find your order. I spend 5 minutes a week calling to see if anything new had happened (spoiler alert: still unscheduled).

Sorry that you feel like you're in a rutt with the whole situation. You're honestly in a much better position than many other hybrid owners-to-be. Just be patient. I'm not worried about the trade in thing personally. My car appreciated almost 3k since I ordered my Maverick. Just anticipating how that goes!

You're talking to marketing? Forgive me if I'm suggesting the incorrect thing but when you dial do you have to hit 4 to speak to someone about your Maverick order? It's to my understanding that the folks on the phone at Ford know more about the process of where along the line your truck is than the dealers.

It's to my understanding that the folks on the phone at Ford know more about the process of where along the line your truck is than the dealers.
i call 800-334-4375, it doesnt give me an option to hit numbers... recording asks what i calling for and I say Maverick updates
If there is a different number you call, can i try it please

I placed my order in June as well and haven't heard a thing from Ford yet. Zero official confirmation, zero emails. I did call them...more than once and after a long wait got a friendly, helpful person on the line that confirmed "yes, I see that your order is in our system" All I can do is patiently wait and hope that when I get it, it's badass

Really, a couple months is going to just destroy your trade in value, right.

Yep. All of this.

"My dealer says" FORD SUPPORT SAYS.

Also if you can't handle waiting a few more weeks for your vehicle then I definitely think you should cancel, back out, and go find a vehicle immediately that will satisfy your need it now desires.
