Yes it was and there is nothing bad or evil about it as long as a backup was included.

I just completed a roughly 750 mile trip from Columbus, OH to Chicago and back.

With the cab loaded up with a family of 5 and luggage for the weekend the hybrid averaged…..

A really pathetic 23.5mpg.

That’s with the 235 Wildpeak AT Trails filled to 35psi cold and running 7-9 miles above the posted speed limit.
Change the tires. A/T tires will drop your MPG because of the grip. I know this firsthand going from stock Continentals to A/T tires. That MPG is also one of drawbacks to hybrids when used almost strictly for highway driving. Even with A/T tires on this truck I never average under 26 MPG except when towing. That also assumes speed limits no faster than 80 MPH.

I did change the tires to Wildpeak AT Trails. Very happy with them but it does cause a 10-15% hit to MPGs maybe more.

Has more to do with weight of the tire than anything else.

I don’t think the EB can get 32mpg at 80mph can it?… I was thinking more like 26mpg?
If you have a bed cover, not cap, this will make a measurable difference MPGs. I may of had a tail wind that allowed me better than normal gas mileage. I got my info from Microsoft's Copilot AI. I just checked Copilot its said around 72. However my bed cover makes a difference.
