Is this price an early April Fools joke?

That's a lot for rusty fenders. I own a AMC Eagle if the Maverick is a forever vehicle for you. Avoid plastic covers for things.

I still have yet to see a price on the Mabett ones,...
A review on Amazon on 12/10/23 about the Mabett flares said, " However, these cost about 1/3 the price of what dealers are selling, so I am not going to complain too much about a slight fit concern."

If the $600 price means fewer people buy these flares, I'm all for it. I like them when you get some wider tires and/or proper wheel spacers, but so many throw wider flares and leave the wheels recessed, which looks horrible to my OCD lizard brain. Saw a bronco sport with them, and wanted to puke.
Yeah it's funny when people do things that are clearly just for looks, but it looks terrible.

But the streets are full of vehicles modded with seemingly everything in the catalog for no apparent reason.

And don't get me started on carolina squats. 🤣

Speaking of plastic covers, you should see the abominable hack job I did on my old explorer, when I had to repair fender rust caused by the plastic fender trim they used on those models. They all rot out at the right rear for some reason.

At the end of the day you might not notice it because it blends in just well enough to pass casual inspection, but if you were to take it apart it bears the brand of "first time amateur DIY body work".

Gluing plastic all over your vehicle has always been a fool's errand, but you know what they say about a fool and his money.

Why pay $611 for Ford’s fender flares when you can get Mabett’s for $129 on Amazon?
Air Designs are made in North America, and Mabett's are made in China. Not surprising that Mabett waited until the AD's were available to create a product that looks nearly identical,,,,

Not only are the Ford flares overpriced but the black is painted on white plastic! At least Mabett’s are black colored plastic and affordable. Maybe if Ford had done that and priced them so that regular folks could actually buy them, they would sell more.

Mabett fender flares are around $129 through Amazon, but what you have to go through to get them is ridiculous.

I bought the Mabett units a few months back via the initial discount sale link. Unlike a few others, mine fit just fine with no pulling away nor movement. - I did perform a dry test-fit first.

I'd personally add a small bead of black silicone in the slight gap between the flare and fender/body, to to keep any debri from getting in. My Subaru fenders did get scratched up a little, although those were a press fit and didn't use 3M mounting tape.
