It might have some wear marks from where they had to replace something like the high voltage cable and junction box that was giving trouble. They were making a lot of warranty repairs. They were hard to get to and might leave evidence that you see.Can someone with hybrid tell me if this is normal? Brand new truck and this part appears used (see photo) Thanks..

Mine looks the same. Seems normal - looks like an almost painted cast part.I recently noticed the same discoloration on the top of the engine mount on my 2.0 eco boost also. Must be a hidden purpose possibly?
The pieces look different. The discolored part look like cast metal. Most likely aluminum. The discolored parts look like they are part of the exhaust manifold where the clean looks like they are attached differently. The exhaust manifold gets really hot. It's possible!I recently noticed the same discoloration on the top of the engine mount on my 2.0 eco boost also. Must be a hidden purpose possibly?
