My truck is less than a week old and here’s that same part…mine looks brand new…mine is a hybrid as well.

Given the discoloration on the OP post I’d say that part is most certainly used.

I recently noticed the same discoloration on the top of the engine mount on my 2.0 eco boost also. Must be a hidden purpose possibly?

It might have some wear marks from where they had to replace something like the high voltage cable and junction box that was giving trouble. They were making a lot of warranty repairs. They were hard to get to and might leave evidence that you see.

Mine looks the same. Seems normal - looks like an almost painted cast part.

My truck is less than a week old and here’s that same part…mine looks brand new…mine is a hybrid as well.

The pieces look different. The discolored part look like cast metal. Most likely aluminum. The discolored parts look like they are part of the exhaust manifold where the clean looks like they are attached differently. The exhaust manifold gets really hot. The temperature would discolor any attached metal.
In my uneducated eye the parts don’t even look like the same model.
It might be the difference in the model year.
