Make sure the fan light is on before you push the a/c button or the recycle button, turning off the A/C button should keep the fan on without cooling, even if you have the A/C off and you push the recycle button the fan will turn on (no a/c). The recycle button should stay on as long as you don’t press it again. So on my XLT i turn the recirculate button on but after a few minutes it turns off. Anyone else have this issue?
Are you using the defroster at the same time? In certain modes, (defroster for example) the recirculate function 'times out', at least it does in my F150 Lariat. So on my XLT i turn the recirculate button on but after a few minutes it turns off. Anyone else have this issue?
made sure the defroster was off. But the answer is on the comment below yours. I guess ill have to use max ac in order to keep it on since its getting cold in vegas and the system appears to turn it off in order to avoid foggingAre you using the defroster at the same time? this is it! Thank you.I had a Ford focus a few years ago, company car, it had all kinds of issues from the ac related to recirculating or not recirculating... All kinds of moisture issues, horrible smell mainly, etc... because people would not switch between the two enough. Wonder if this is the solution to prevent it in the Maverick.![]()
So, you want the "I know better than you, do what I say and I agree not to complain about problems if this setting is enabled'These nanny features are annoying. If I want it set to recirc, it should stay set to recirc. If they include nanny features they should also include a way to turn them off.
Almost every vehicle I've owned has had a recir/fresh switch that stays where you put it. Never had a problem in decades of use. Why is it suddenly too complicated for us to comprehend? I can in fact work it out for myself and do not complain, so long as it does what I tell it to.So, you want the "I know better than you, do what I say and I agree not to complain about problems if this setting is enabled'
Seriously, one of the other members mentions all the issues that ford had to deal with, ie because users couldn't work them out themselves. So, while I agree with options to customize, I will tell you from a support perspective one of the first things we ask is if the problem still happens if they do back to the defaults. Doesn't mean we won't help them with the issue and their customization but does help narrow down the problem.
Did you end up finding a solution? Mines only staying on for 1-2 minutes then goes off also. Ugh. Mines the 2023 xlt model... I keep just putting it back on. It's like arguing with a 4 year old. Not getting anywhere. So on my XLT i turn the recirculate button on but after a few minutes it turns off. Anyone else have this issue?
just random behavior. Learned to live with it. Unless its on max ac or really hot inside cabin it will normally just turn off. I dont mind it nowDid you end up finding a solution? In fact, they do. You have an ecoboost, which has the 12V battery. If you were to disconnect all wiring to the (-) and then (+) terminals, all nanny features will be disabled. These nanny features are annoying. If I want it set to recirc, it should stay set to recirc. If they include nanny features they should also include a way to turn them off.
