I am getting ready to do my first oil change and would like to know if this is a good oil and after how many miles I should do another oil change.

I've been using Motorcraft synth blend in my Ford vehicles for about 3 decades now. It works fine.....before the pandemic it used to be about $20 for 5 qts though. People will tell you that you can buy better but not for the price. Don't forget to change the oil filter too.

You can get a lot of opinions about how often to change the oil and the oil filter. That may depend upon how hard you are on your engine. Check the owner's manual.

Hello and welcome!
If it meets the specs in the manual, should be good.
Frequency: when the computer tells you or sooner depending on driving/operating conditions.

I don't know what's "better", but local wally world price for meeting specs:

Ya it’s ok oil. Not my first pick but I would definitely recommend full synthetic. Yes it’s more but also has much better protection. So I guess it depends on how much you wanna change it and how you gonna drive it.

NOT the blend - use fully syn like the manual says if you indeed have the hybrid. Do what they say - you have a $25K+ investment on your hands - you don't want to void the d-train warranty.

I wonder what the difference between the 0W-20 you posted and this one? Yours shows Hybrid and this shows "Suitable for Hybrid".

I can only offer my opinion of course, I have been using Mobil 1 since the 80's. I would prefer that over a synthetic blend, but as long as it meets the specs if fine and a little lighter on your pocket book. With a full synthetic you do get better protection. As far as when to change it is full of opinions, here is mine; First I don't have a Hybrid but a 2019 Ranger, I am looking to buy a Maverick in the next couple of years, I am here to follow what is going on. My ranger has percent of oil life, I change mine at 50%, which to me usually hits the 5K mark. Thats what I do, hope you find what you are looking for, good luck with your Maverick I hope its a good vehicle for you.

You asked for 'how many miles'. Hybrids are tricky as all of the miles aren't using engine oil. Use the oil life gauge in your Mav as it calculates oil life based on how many actual miles were gas engine driven vs battery. Great question and I'd bet not everyone knows that about Hybrids. I certainly didn't.

Don't use a synthetic blend. Use a full synthetic oil if you have the hybrid (and honestly I recommend full synthetic for any engine).

Basic reason is: blend just means part synthetic, part conventional. Could be 1% and 99%. Could be 50-50. Could be 90% and 10%. How bad is the 'conventional' part of the oil equation? Full synthetic means it's rated as synthetic quality for the entire contents (not 100% synthetic).

As for how many miles, check your app, it will show the oil life monitor. Based on driving history and miles v. miles electric.

Manual somewhere said 10,000 mi. But if you have a ton of electric miles, it will last longer (electric means no engine moving, so no oil being contaminated).

I change my oil at 10,000 or so, and roughly 3k of that is electric. My third oil change photo is lost somewhere for now. I'm at just over 40k and should be due for an oil change soon. But my oil monitor is saying I'm at 35% life. Oil looks good. And saying I have about 1200 more to go. I'll get the oil change later in June probably.

Also, for the hybrid guys, every 30k you're supposed to get the ecvt transmission flushed.

THIS.
For the Hybrid, the book says use 0W-20 Full Synthetic. RTFM and follow it.

I prefer full syn oil. Can't give a scientific reason except I've been brainwashed.

IMHO, if you have a hybrid, I would go full syn hybrid specific 0w-20.

I was told, or more accurately, read, that hybrid specific oil has more additives to deal with sludge that are more common in the hybrid 2.5L ICE because the engine doesn't get up to full operating temp long enough to burn off the moisture, condensation etc. that contributes to sludge formation.

In extreme cases, a white jelly like substance will form and can be seen on the oil filler cap.

But first and foremost, changing oil and filter regularly tops the list. Brand loyalty is preference. I also would use a Motorcraft filter, at least while the ICE is under warranty. Keep all receipts and record mileage if you DIY.

The only thing I can see is the one you put up has 10,000 miles guarantee the one up above is 15,000 miles guarantee

I don't see a difference..so maybe just marketing for extra $ ?
Both meet the spec according to their labels.
