I have a hate on for this thing as well. The way Ford encourages customizing the interior they should make the back up beacon programmable. I've also looked at various threads and googled this question. The closest I can find is a guy who installed a programmable beacon he bought off of Amazon. It wires to the reverse lights for power. Only other think I read was a caution that perhaps tampering with the Ford beacon could present an error code.

When you start the vehicle it's another pop-up telling you the pedestrian sounder has a fault. Doesn't actually affect anything. People sell plugs that replace the speaker by fooling the system to think it's still connected.

I always call the "other half" noise the "Weather Report" because its typically all about the storms brewing in thier head about literally anything! 🫣 Oh and yeah..... some good ole loud rock and roll grounds it out too!

UPDATE i went into the ACM with forscan and using the “flat eq” setting it significantly reduces the volume of the chime! good enough for me considering i also have aftermarket speakers
