your gonna need to bend it a bit to wiggle it in. its a PITA.. i did mine without the hole for the plugs and just moved them right behind the panel.. (i wont use it anyway)

Removing the wiring plug will help
(I didn’t do that) the PIA part is getting it around the chain hooks. If I had to do over again, I would have put the piece in some super hot water for a few minutes right before trying to install it

Thanks for the tip. What did you use to cut away the back lip part that tucks under?
