Yes there is an AWD HYBRID, just not in the Maverick.

Actually, today I saw an article that a phev Maverick tester was spotted.Yes there is an AWD HYBRID, just not in the Maverick.

That is expected to change with the PHEV variant and most certainly with the BEV variant that we should see around '27.
When the '22 was releasing, a complete teardown was done by Munro and it is very clear that the Maverick was designed with a PHEV/BEV future in mind. When one of the engineers of the Maverick was asked about this he became very coy.

That's mostly been debunked as most likely being FHEV. Ford has said, at least publicly, they aren't interested in developing a PHEV Maverick at this time. And we have an engineer from Ford here dismissing the BEV possibility as that the C2 platform isn't designed to accommodate it.
