To me the extra cost of the XLT is not worth it. The only thing I really wanted was the power mirrors which you can get on the XL with the CP360 package. I'd like the alloy wheels, but I can upgrade them later. Plus, I'm not a big fan of the orange trim in the XLT interior.

Just as the title states. What is the difference now between an XL and base XLT. Ford took away the door keypad. I guess locking tailgate is still only an XLT thing.
I suppose aluminum wheels. But just seems like the base features are very similar.
I'm not going to rehash things already mentioned, but a few things I didn't notice people mention:

1. alloy wheels $1000 on Amazon after paying someone to mount them
2. Power Mirrors don't know the costs
3. More colors
4. 360 driver system for collision avoidance

Salesperson at dealership advised me to order XLT instead of XL if I wanted my order built in 2023. Advice matched what many said on MTC, so I agreed on XLT. My order is scheduled for September 2023. Would I have been scheduled if I would have insisted on XL? I'll never know.

I understand that the XL will probably take longer to get as the allocation is 25% vs 50% for the XLT. The 2024 price delta is pretty large though and I wanted to put the money towards the 4k tow package. I'm not in a big hurry. I'll be happy if I get it within a year.
