Hybrid Lariat Lux w/Black Appearance Pkg, Area 51. Original order 10/05/21, Reorder 09/16/22. Ford says it is a clean order and it was put in as a Priority 10 as per instructions. . No date, no VIN, just the regular 45 day note. With no constraints other than Hybrid does this mean the only thing holding it up is dealer allocation? Or, are they still scheduling orders from August and Sept of 2021? This may have been discussed earlier, but if so, I missed it. Appreciate any insights.

I talked to my dealer (mid-size Ford dealer in Texas) this past week about my Oct 1, 2021 XL Hybrid order (Unscheduled: Clean Priority 10). He indicated that they had roughly 300 Maverick orders in September including "over 50 non-VIN roll-overs" from last year. I am not sure how many total VIN roll-overs they had. In September they placed 28 XL Hybrid orders plus had two "roll-over VIN" XL Hybrids (so was showing 30 total in his system). I am Priority 10 and am currently number 20 out of the 28 (which means they had a ton of XL Hybrid roll-overs that never got VINs last year). He indicated that he only had allocation for ONE (1) XL Hybrid last month!!! Since they still had the two "VIN roll-overs", they have not even made it to the Sept orders yet. He seemed to imply that even though they were promised extra Hybrid allocation (I assume for the VIN rollovers) they were not given them yet.

I realize that you are not an XL Hybrid but figure that percentages probably apply to the other Hybrid trim levels as well. So "YES", it is all about dealer allocation. It doesn't matter if it was a VIN, or non-VIN rollover or even a brand new order. At the end of the day, it all comes down to allocation.

On the flip-side, they seemed to be getting plenty of Ecos. The whole reason he called me (after I was ghosted for the last 2 months) was that he had an extra Eco that he was trying to up-sell me to.

Thanks for the perspective. My dealership is small (only 15-20 Mavs sold in 2021) and I have been told I am likely the next hybrid in line, but don't know how many EB's are in the mix. It's a crazy time with constraints last year and the complete sellout this year. Thanks again.

I think most of us with cancelled VINs are now scheduled and should be getting out of the way of rollovers (that were properly prioritized at 10, while NEW 2023 orders were given higher numbers like 11-19). If your dealer put you ahead of the NEW orders as they should, then allocation is the thing.

Yes. It has to be allocation. My order was put into the system about 5:30am 9/16/22. My XLT Lux Hybrid arrived a little more than 2 weeks ago.

I learned that my dealer has a high Maverick allocation, about the time I picked my truck up. Apparently, they got it by placing a significant number of commercial & governmental orders upon the order portal opening in 2021. From what I was led to believe their 2023 model year allocations were based on the prior year. Maybe, maybe not. But I have seen lots & lots of white XL’s there at 1 time, & I have seen multiple Mavericks there many times over the last year.

I have the same build with order dates of 8NOV21 and 16SEP22. Mine was delivered 20JAN23. So, dealer AND regional allocation have a lot to do with it.
