I initially followed the OP’s directions with no luck. I then tried it a variety of other ways myself, trying to get it to work. After second guessing myself doing it correctly when it would not work, I did it another 4 or 5 times as directed herein, & it finally worked. Who knows the reason...
Picked up my Maverick 1/26/23 from Capital Ford in Raleigh, NC. They honored original build sheet msrp & accepted $500 Farm Bureau coupon with no issues. No funny business whatsoever. It was as easy as the transaction could have been. I was in & out in about 15 minutes.
I sent a build sheet to my dealer rep in early August to be ready in advance to the portal opening. She tried on 9/15 & could not get the portal to accept my order. Fortunately, she & I are early risers & we were talking via email at 5:00am EST on on 9/16/22. My order was placed by 5:30am &...
Our Maverick is still pretty new. We haven’t had a 600 mile tank yet, but we will by the next fill up. Check out this shocking (to me at least) mileage. We are loving this Maverick so far.
Our Maverick is killing it on fuel mileage. We took a 24.7 mile trip today & got 64.5mpg. Temp was about 55F, on level ground for the most part, & 35 to 55 posted limits.
I saw a significant number of White FWD XL Ecoboost Mavericks at my dealer, not too long ago & posted about it here. They were all 2022 model fleet vehicles that had been held up from release from the factory for some reason. Whenever the dam finally broke, they were literally bringing them in...
The real “or“ is we have multiple vehicles & drive the Maverick when it is likely to do best. It also resides in a conditioned garage, so it starts out a little warmer than it would otherwise. Cold days it doesn’t get out unless it is going on a fairly long trip.
Apparently dealer allocation is the king maker. Those of you who really want hybrids should start researching today what dealers have beneficial allocations, & contact those dealers to get build sheets on file. If those orders get placed the minute that the order portal next opens, those orders...
Yes. It has to be allocation. My order was put into the system about 5:30am 9/16/22. My XLT Lux Hybrid arrived a little more than 2 weeks ago.
I learned that my dealer has a high Maverick allocation, about the time I picked my truck up. Apparently, they got it by placing a significant...
CONGRATULATIONS on your retirement! If getting rid of my Powerboost was the only thing standing between me & retirement, it would be gone. I do love it, but I would happily drive my Maverick everyday.
Well………….I am really lucky. I also have a vintage low mileage SuperDuty 7.3 Powerstroke, & my normal go to when I actually have work to do is my 2019 RCLB F150. The rest of them are mostly pleasure-mobiles.
I don’t think that Ford advertises the Powerboost much at all. They seem to be having just as much trouble keeping up with demand for the Powerboost, as they are with the Maverick Hybrid.
We are lucky enough to own a 22 Powerboost & a 23 Maverick. They are both Ford Hybrid Trucks, but there are big differences between them. Each has advantages & disadvantages over the other.
Let me talk about the Powerboost 1st, since I have had it the longest, now for 6 months & 12k miles...
I picked up our Maverick Hybrid last Thursday. I am proud to say that that my credit rating is maxed out. Still rates for financing were in the 5’s up to the 8’s, so I opted to pay cash. My dealer sold the truck at $500 under invoice (Farm Bureau rebate).
We picked our 23 Hybrid up last Thursday. Eight days & 460 miles later we are averaging 46.2 mpg on the dash (We still haven’t put gas in it yet.). Weather has been about 40 degrees Fahrenheit & rain for the last week. I expect to get 50mpg when it warms up & dries out. We drive like we are old...
I personally have no way to confirm if Capital is largest MAVERICK dealer. I was told that they were a little surprised to hear that from Ford. According to them they got that designation by ordering a large number of Mavericks for fleet Customers way early when the portal originally opened...
Unfortunately, not close to you. Capital Ford in Raleigh, NC. Who knew? I definitely did not know when I ordered, although I have bought 40 or 50 vehicles from them over several years.
I picked up the new Maverick today. Capital Ford made everything easy about the purchase & charged me...
