I was just wondering if the auto stop/start system is temperature sensitive because I've noticed that it never engages when it's scorching hot outside. However, when the temperature is a lot cooler, it engages at almost every stop, depending how deep I engage the brake pedal. It makes sense considering that when the engine deactivates, the air conditioning doesn't work as efficiently. It's strained by the lack of engine power. I'm guessing the computer senses how hot it is and purposely doesn't activate auto start/stop so the air works to its fullest. Does anyone else have any insight?
